Zai carries your story with her, and she is the same Zai whether you type or talk. You never have to remind her and you never have to start again. She compresses, she learns, she grows.

Local memory — always on, always yours. Everything she remembers lives on your machine, encrypted. Not on our servers: we could not read it if we wanted to. Even the processing of her memory happens locally, so your words do not leave your computer in order to be remembered. She saves context at her own discretion, you can ask her to remember anything explicitly, and recall is instant — no re-explaining, no starting over.
Cloud backup — optional, off until you turn it on. An encrypted backup so a new machine does not mean a new stranger. Nothing syncs anywhere until you switch it on, and when you do it comes with real controls: sync status, restore, export, and a delete button that really deletes.
Ask her to forget something and it is gone — really gone, with a confirmation step so nothing vanishes by accident. Forget a topic. Forget a date range. Delete a single memory. Export everything. Or purge the lot. You control your own data.
We want Zai to know you deeply, and we built it so she can without us ever seeing a word of it. Her memory of you is encrypted on your machine, it will never be sold, and it exists for your benefit and nobody else's. Privacy that comes from architecture survives a change of ownership; privacy that comes from a policy does not.
